Karen Barnhill
Karen made her first trip to Haiti in 2019 and joined Mission Made as the volunteer coordinator in 2020.
Karen contributes so much to the Mission Made team. She is responsible for researching and booking venues for markets, as well as keeping lists of the markets and tracking all of the details. She also updates the MMJ inventory frequently. Karen adds new items and removes old items from inventory and documents the stock we have available.
Another important aspect to Karens job is participating in the markets she books. Before each market, Karen picks up the stock, and sets up and tears down the booth, then takes the leftover inventory back to unload and put away.
Karen also spends time encouraging those around her to volunteer for Mission Made. She is sure to show each volunteer support, kindness, and thankfulness for the work that they do. She keeps our volunteers updated on upcoming events, schedules, and volunteer opportunities.
Karen is grateful that although she can’t travel to Haiti, she is still able to help Mission Made and make a difference. Her favorite part of working with Mission Made is talking to people who have connections and updates from Haiti.
We are so thankful for Karen and all the support she shows us!
